After our walk today I wondered if there was a good tree identification site that would ask you a series of questions to identify a tree. This one from the Arbor Society does a pretty good job- though I think the interface could be a lot better- like a billion little pictures of trees in a species hierarchy that gradually narrows as you answer the questions or something would be cooler. But it still gets the the info.
There's also this one for Iowa that does have pictures, but seems kinda weak:
As a side note I saw this little links page for lots of different sites i didn't have time to explore.
