Hostas
I need some help with my hostas. This is year three and last year they were weak. I am thinking about dividing them to make the area thicker but I also want to make them larger. Does anyone fertilize them? What type do you use (acid or what)? Brandon, I am directing this to you because yours were huge!

Those huge hostas we have in the front are called "Northern Halo" hostas. I got them at Lowe's 3 years ago and have just gotten lucky I guess. I don't do anything to them at all. It must be that variety that gets big like that. You can google search it and read up on 'em.
